The Taichung City Seaport Art Center will host the exhibition “A Decade of Green Breeze —Chen Chung -Jiing's Painted Emotions” at the Ju-yue Gallery from July 5 to August 3, 2025. Welcome to explore the vibrant artistic world of the painter Chen Chung -Jiing. This series of works captures the artist’s spontaneous emotional impulses in each brushstroke, allowing viewers to experience the pure joy of creation and a sense of serene freedom.

According to the Seaport Art Center, Chen Chung -Jiing graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Chinese Culture University and has worked across various creative fields, including art design, ceramics, and animation. He also has a background in computer animation, having been recognized with the Golden Bell Awards. Following his retirement, he returned to the studio, using acrylics and colorful lines to draw inspiration from everyday life. His works are characterized by naïve yet sunny brushstrokes, depicting whimsical or childlike imagery. Painting with the instinct of a child, his creative philosophy centers on “staying in the studio and savoring the subtle sparks of spontaneous inspiration.”

Chen Chung -Jiing’s artistic style is eclectic. He likens his approach to mixing colors to that of a chef seasoning a dish, inviting viewers to indulge in a feast of colors. He also frequently uses polystyrene combined with fiberglass to create lively, three-dimensional sculptures—such as adorable owls or playful arowanas—that serve as eye-catching highlights within the exhibition space.

In the exhibition “A Decade of Green Breeze,” visitors will witness the creative fruits of Chen Chung -Jiing’s years of wandering across different places, drawing inspiration from nature and culture. His works unfold like a vibrant show of inner beauty, brimming with childlike wonder, freedom, and imagination.
