The Taiwan Provincial Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Society is dedicated to the principle that "Life is Art, and Art is Life." We strive to infuse beauty into artistic creation, allowing viewers to resonate with new perspectives and experience boundless inspiration and emotion. Founded in 1991, the Society has been active for over thirty years. With more than ninety members, including distinguished artists from three generations—elders, middle-aged, and young—our members are leaders in the contemporary field of Chinese painting and calligraphy. Many have received numerous accolades and are committed to preserving and promoting the art of Chinese painting and calligraphy. The founding president, Master Ma Xiangbo, gathered renowned artists such as Jing Songling, Wang Rongwu, Wei Jianqiu, Zhang Guiqing, Deng Huajie, Zhai Dasan, Luo Yonghua, Geng Guangde, Xu Bochao, and Li Zhenya. Esteemed mentors like An Guojun and Wang Lilü were also invited to provide guidance. Successive presidents, including He Lingkai, You Qinglong, Cai Shuzhen, Wang Jiansheng, Wang Hemei, Yuan Zhijing, and Chen Lizhen, have all contributed significantly to advancing the Society's mission. Current advisors, including Cai You, Cai Junzhang, Lin Jintao, Wu Gongrui, Chen Hua, Zhang Ziqiang, Chen Yizhi, Shen Jianlong, and Lin Qingjing, continue to support the Society's growth and development. The theme of this year's members' exhibition is "Inexhaustible Treasures." The term "Inexhaustible Treasures" originates from Buddhist terminology, symbolizing the boundless treasures of wisdom, compassion, and art. It reflects the infinite potential and rich essence of Chinese painting and calligraphy. The exhibition will showcase over a hundred meticulously crafted ink paintings and calligraphy pieces, highlighting the artists' boundless creativity and deep cultural heritage. The calligraphy works encompass various styles, including seal script, clerical script, regular script, running script, and cursive script, demonstrating the diversity and sophistication of calligraphic art. The paintings cover themes such as landscapes, flowers and birds, and figures, blending modern and classical techniques to present a new creative vision. Each piece expresses the artist's reflections on life and their pursuit of beauty through brush and ink. "Inexhaustible Treasures" is not only an art exhibition but also a cultural feast. The exhibits combine the beauty of Chinese painting and calligraphy with daily life, offering both education and enjoyment. The exhibition aims to preserve and share the essence of Chinese painting and calligraphy. We hope this exhibition will elevate the city's cultural and artistic standards, enrich its cultural atmosphere, and contribute to a more harmonious society
