Artistic Lives Notwithstanding Disabilities – Group Exhibition of Taichung City Spinal Cord Injury Association｜Taichung City Seaport Art Center

To encourage spinal cord injury patients in the city to go out, the “Taichung City Spinal Cord Injury Association” established the “TCSCI Oil Painting Class” in 1999 and hoped that the members could paint their life stories through oil paintings. Spinal cord injury patients become wheelchair users due to various external factors on the long road of their lives, and there are many sequelae like neuralgia and so on. However, they do not surrender to fate, instead enduring physical and mental pains, and express their sentiments through oil paintings created with hand or mouth. So they can temporarily forget their sufferings and portray touching artworks one after another.
