In 1989, the "Taichung County Hsiao-Yao Art Association" was established under the encouragement of Mr. KAO,LIEN-YUNG. Its members come from all walks of life, scholar, farmer, industry, and commerce. At present, it has organized a total of 25 member joint exhibitions in various cultural centers in Taichung City. At the same time, picture album and art journals are published to record the creation history of members.
In 2021, the 26th joint exhibition of the Association will exhibit works including calligraphy, Chinese brush painting, oil painting, photography, stone carving and other works. In addition to showing the solid artistic skills of the old members, the performance of the new members also injects a fresh spirit into the exhibition.
