“Chinese Hong-Dao Calligraphy Organization” was founded by Professor Qi-Quan Chen (courtesy name “Qi-Chuan,” 1917-2003) more than 30 years ago. Many local elite calligraphers are members of the organization. They actively expand the breadth of calligraphy art and promote calligraphy education as their mission. Moreover, many of them are the judges in major art exhibitions such as the Provincial Art Exhibition, Dadun Fine Arts Exhibition of Taichung City, and Nanying Award, which shows the significant influence of the master Qi-Chuan. The works exhibited at this time are diverse in artistic and calligraphic styles, combining tradition and modernity. The current chairman, Mr. Wei-xu Ruan, diligently organizes joint exhibitions. He expects to learn from fellow calligraphy artists and hopes to receive suggestions.
