Painting·Color—Tour with Art: The 6th Members’ Group Exhibition of Taichung City Oil Painters Association｜Taichung City Seaport Art Center

In 2000, a group of senior oil painters in Taichung County, such as Bing-Nan Zhang, Tian-Cong Lin, Yao-Xi Zhang, Guo-Dong Liu, Shi-Lian Chen, Wen-Zi Chen, Zi-Bang Zhang, and Tai-Ping Lin, felt that artists should not work alone by themselves, but should connect with fellow artists sharing common ideas and learn oil painting skills from each other. Therefore, they established the “Taichung County Oil Painters Association,” which was renamed “Taichung City Oil Painters Association” after the merger of the county and the city. The association has more than 50 members whose painting styles include classical realism, impressionism, post-impressionism, abstraction, and semi-abstraction. The association hopes to promote art education systematically through the annual members’ exhibition and then help society improve continuously through the energy of art.
