This exhibition is born from years of profound living experiences and spiritual integration in the serene Mt. Dadu. This display is curated around two central themes.

1. Learning from Nature ~ The Art of Sketching

2. The Beauty of the Dharma ~ Drawing Inspried from Cave Buddha Statues I love sketching.

The garden, alive with a colorful array of blooms throughout the seasons, serves as my inspiration. With every stroke of my pen, I capture the vibrant beauty of the flowers, documenting their most radiant moments. Occasionally, a few lazy cats lounge in my house, and I find joy in capturing their playful silhouettes with my brush. The simple, everyday scenes around me bring an endless happiness.

The Buddha statues in the Dunhuang Cave exude a serene elegance, their presence both simple and solemn. The calm, compassionate expression of the Buddha has captivated me for years.Since 2008, I have drawn inspiration from these sacred figures, incorporating their forms into my artwork. Layer by layer, I build the skin of the Bodhisattva, applying mineral pigments to the foils to reveal a hidden golden glow, capturing the divine and spiritual essence of the Bodhisattva in each piece.

On the road of creation, good karma gathers, I am not alone and I am always joyful and thankful, “Grass and trees are not meant to be, but have their own time to flourish and wither,” and Iencourage myself with this. On my creative journey, I never walk alone thanks to many good friends and teachers that I met. I am filled with joy and gratitude. Every day, I remind myself of staying grateful, thinking that “Nature follows its timeless rhythm, where nothing remains unchanged, and all things must bloom and fade in their own time.” This thought encourages and sustains me along the way.
